Wild Thing
It's that morbid fear threatening
That the pain will keep coming back
You think you've had experience
When it's precisely what you lack
Of love, poetry, and ladies
Beauties that you've sought
Of moments of faiths and others,
Of crooked, blasphemous thoughts
Of hearts glistening in the sunshine
And others left to rot
A good life you lead, believe me
A billion options you've got
Your pen, your paper, your heart
Even when fear and anger, tie it to a knot

Body build your soul and brick lay your patience
Win this contest fairly, they're calling out, "Come save us"

And know this
For someone to gain, you got to loose
Someone else looses, that you be free to choose
These promises of happiness ridicule any opiate
Junkies don't create civilizations
Nor do they shift and accelerate
Just dwelling in sorrows, loosing all tomorrow

Here, these are another poet's words I'll borrow:
"I've never seen a wild thing
Feel sorry for itself
A bird will fall frozen dead, from its bough
And will never feel sorry for itself"

Move forward, relax, and know an end is there
Keep yourself focused; you know your kind is rare
And when all unleash their swords and souls;
Smile,
Legs apart and steady,
Your chest wide and bare.
